CSTS is now open to a new Book Club scheme starting from 1st January 2012:

Members will agree to read two chapters from one book from a list of spiritual classics. They will then meet every two months to discuss their impressions and understanding. The Book Club will take place on the last Friday evenings of each month (or as agreed) from 6.30pm -8.00pm in March,May and July 2012. There will be a £5 charge for the group. If the Book Club proves popular, further meetings will be arranged for later in the year.

CSTS Student wins Runner-up at NCFE Student of the Year
Ulick Loring, a student at The Centre for Spiritual and Transpersonal Studies has won the runner-up award for the London Region at the NCFE annual awards 2007. Read more about this on the NCFE website.

'Second Place'

Counselling student Joseph Ryan, who attended Richmond Adult Community College has taken second place in a regional competition celebrating the achievements of remarkable students. He was names south east regional runner-up student of the year at a ceremony by the awarding body NCFE.

Dr Ryan studied a two-year diploma in integrative counselling with a transpersonal focus after previously working as a nurse, teacher and in the defence industry.

He said: "I was drawn to the transpersonal approach to counselling as it has aspects of holistic development."

Meera Sharma, Dr Ryan's tutor, said: "He has a keen interest in learning and exploring the subject of study. He is a learner who has the ability to integrate knowledge to grow wiser. His training in the transpersonal has enhanced his capacity for deep and meaningful contact with himself and others."
