One-Day Workshop

Presented by: Meera Sharma

OVERVIEW:
Are you wounded? Do you want to have a solid self understanding?

Recognition of emotional scars and wounds is necessary and sometimes difficult. Some people who have experienced a great loss, survived a disaster or have gotten out of an abusive or dysfunctional relationship may focus on stabilizing their external environment by acting as if nothing ever happened. Recognizing the emotional pain means being able to accurately define or describe your feelings related to the event or situation, even if there are feelings of numbness. Emotional pain can be defined as feeling hopeless, lacking trust, guilt, resentment, anger, sadness or feeling nothing at all. It can also mean feeling unlike yourself or feeling as if you don’t know who you are anymore with loss of self esteem, passion and confidence.

The same goes for emotional wounds: What if you have some emotional wounds that are making you over-sensitive to factors that other people don’t even notice? Those wounds are making you vulnerable! Emotional wounds and scars are not easy to detect. Some emotional scars and wounds are in desperate need of healing but have been ignored for years. Ignoring these types of scars and wounds may result in serious psychological damage. It is important to not only recognize when you have emotional wounds but also know what is needed to heal the hurt.

All of these small things that are bothering you may be harmless on their own, but they hurt you because they touch your wounds just like the physical wound. The more wounds you have the less time you will feel happy, because every now and then, something will touch your wound and make you feel bad and if you try to just escape or forget about these wounds, they aren't going to leave you alone, they will remind you of their existence with each rejection, critical comment or whenever you get dumped or ignored.

Don’t leave your wounds like that, heal them and eliminate some of your weak points.
