CFTS PRESENTS: “Transformation through Alchemy”

One-Day Workshop
Saturday 21st April 2007
10 am – 5 pm

Presented by: Meera Sharma

OVERVIEW:
This workshop will explore the secret of sacred symbolic language of alchemy and its connection with Transformation. Alchemy is a symbolic language used to describe the inner transformational journey, or the process of the human soul. The process of alchemy represents the transmutation of base metal into gold. Alchemy, in the sense we mean here, is symbolizing the transformation of our physical nature into our spiritual nature (gold), as our consciousness gradually evolves.

The catalyst in the alchemical process was known as the Philosopher’s Stone and the search for the Philosopher’s Stone was known as the Great Work or the Magnus Opus, commencing with the Prima Materia, which is the name given to our uncooked raw emotion. This translates to a journey from our Ego State to our higher Self – the ‘I’ that I truly am.

It is a powerful realization when we recognize that there is a fundamental cycle, which for the most part is unconscious, taking place repeatedly throughout our lives.

You will most likely be able to recognize these stages on your own spiritual journey. There is a body cycle as we breathe in and out for example. There is also the ageing cycle from when we are born, evolving right through to when we die and the roller coaster cycle of our emotions and so on.

You are already gold – the journey is to discover that for yourself. The dark and the light both have to exist – do not try to get rid of one because it affects both. It is about bringing them together.
